A dog named Lady

SHE'S A LADY, UNTIL SHE WANTS TO

A man brought his toddler son into the dog park today and reintroduced the child to Lady. We'd seen them recently.

"She's a Lady," the man told the confused child.

I corrected him. "She's a dog named Lady," I said. "She's as likely to act like a dog as any other dog."

Actually, that's not totally true. Lady doesn't start fights, and she doesn't bother people or dogs. Usually, she's calm and patient.

Unless food or water are involved, of course.
