Alone outside the dog park

There was an unusual sight today at the dog park. A young dog — maybe a pit bull mix — was loose outside the dog park fence.

The one person inside the park said he'd tried to coax the dog inside the fence, with no luck. The dog, with brindled markings, is obviously bashful. It wouldn't come to me, either.

When we left an hour later, the youngster was long gone.

Update: That dog was reportedly outside the dog park Friday, at least a couple of days after I originally posted this. I didn't see the dog this time. One woman was talking about calling Animal Control for the dog.

I didn't notice, but she said the dog didn't have a collar.
