LADY A FEW YEARS AGO |
And other times she acts like she doesn't hear you, and she'll often walk away while she's being petted.
My wife Holly took her to the vet today, and she was diagnosed with canine cognitive dysfunction, canine Alzheimer's. She also has a heart murmur.
We looked online, and the symptoms of CCD are exactly what we're seeing with Lady. She recently turned 14.
The only good news is that she's otherwise in good health, and she still likes to run and play now and then.
P.S.: We've been giving Lady her medicine, and her canine Alzheimer's is under control (most of the time). Thankfully...
Note: Lady passed on Sept. 17, 2016, and now we have a beagle, Dixie.
