Oh, what a mess!

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF SCOTTIE
HAD BEEN ON GRASS, AS HE WAS HERE.

When I got home from errands last night, I didn't see our collie Scottie, but I wasn't worried. He was probably hiding somewhere. No big deal.

But I got on the computer, and I heard a YIP! Normally, that means Scottie has laid down on the slick floor and can't get up. But as I passed a bedroom, I heard another YIP!

I opened the door, and Scottie sauntered out. Obviously, he'd pushed the door open, then pushed it shut when he tried to shove his way back out.

I hope he didn't make a mess in there.

Too late ... he did. That floor lamp will probably never stand on its own again, and he knocked both lenses out of a pair of glasses.

There's a book without a cover, and everything is in disarray. Sigh.

... said the spider to ...

LADY HAD BEEN ROLLING IN THE GRASS

We were at the dog park
the other day, and I was about to drink from the water fountain.

Suddenly, a large, black spider ran from the spigot and down the drain. I was stunned.

I won't drink from that fountain again, of course.
The thought gives me the creeps.
