Ice in the backyard

LADY PLAYS IN THE SNOW. I TOOK THIS BACKYARD SHOT
 A FEW YEARS BEFORE THE INCIDENT DESCRIBED BELOW.

The other day, I bought something to heat and eat, and Lady later took the empty container outside to lick it in private. When I went outside the next day, I picked up the container and realized it was heavy; I turned it over to dump it out, and it was full of ice. The rain had filled it, and the cold froze the water.
