On the run, with the collies in pursuit

I DON'T HAVE MANY PICTURES OF LADY (BACK)
RUNNING; THIS IS ONE OF THEM.
Lady was still only four or five years old, maybe less, when we took her to Collie Rescue of the Carolinas. We wanted to get Lady a collie companion, who turned out to be Katie. But that's a different story.

Lady decided to run with the collies, and she took off with a bunch of young collies chasing her. She had already been spayed, but most of her pursuers were male. Maybe almost all of the collies were male, period.

Anyway, she ran like a halfback, to and fro and here and there; she'd run straight a bit, then turn violently left or right. I wouldn't say she was fast — she never was blazing fast — but she ran well, and the others couldn't catch her.

For some reason, I was calling her Knucklehead then, and I'd yell it, and a guy there would do it, too. Lady ignored us and ran and ran and ran.

Why bring this up now? I'm being nostalgic. She ran some (very slowly) the other day at the dog park, but it was nothing like that day at Collie Rescue.

UPDATE: Lady passed on Sept. 17, 2016.
