A good day at the dog park

LADY AT THE DOG PARK
The dog park was full today, too full. There were a couple of dozen people and nearly the same number of dogs when we got there.

Dog-park regular Henry was leaving with his dogs, Shelly and Rocko, when we got there. I talked to Henry a few minutes while Lady commiserated with the two black dogs.

One dog kept trying to drink Lady's water after the bowl was empty. Lady got very little, if any, of the one liter of water I took to the park.

There were several people and dogs on the little-dog side when we got there, and one woman talked on and on and...

There was a sweet, old golden retriever that reminded me a lot of Major, a former denizen of the dog park who's almost certainly no longer with us. I haven't seen Major or Ed, his owner, in more than five years.

It was a lovely day. Lady didn't get run over, and no dog tried to pee on me. So it was a good day all around.

When we got home, we took a short walk in the neighborhood. Here, I fed Lady, and now she's in the cage just outside our basement.
