Dixie and a cat in the cold

I HAVE NO PHOTO OF DIXIE AND THE CAT
The temperature was 30, with a wind chill of 20, when Dixie and I took a walk this afternoon. I was freezing, but I did get a laugh out of it.

We were heading back, and Dixie was sniffing near a neighbor's driveway. I happened to look up and noticed the mostly black cat hunkered down less than 10 feet from Dixie. It was obvious that Dixie hadn't noticed it.

When I pulled Dixie to get her away from the cat -- we can't afford a hefty vet bill -- Dixie looked up and noticed the cat. Immediately, she surged toward the cat, but it was easy to stop her. When I turned, the cat was gone.

I almost had to drag Dixie the rest of the way home, but she's here in the warmth.
