Skittering about

LADY TROTS ALONG BEHIND A BOXER AT
THE DOG PARK. I TOOK THIS PHOTO IN 2007.

When Lady and I took a walk this morning at 5, she smelled a cat or two (or three), and she wanted to chase.

Normally, she'd growl and pull mightily. Today, she skittered around, and it wasn't too hard to hold her back. That was a relief in one way. On the other hand, I miss her being able to pull mightily. It was a sign of youth and vigor.

Is this a sign of aging, or is it because of her recent problems with her hind leg? Maybe it's a bit of both. And maybe those problems are related.

For this morning, though, those neighborhood cats are safe.

NOTE: Lady passed on Sept. 17, 2016.
