Walking alone in the neighborhood

I did something unusual this morning. After I took Lady to the groomer, I walked alone around the neighborhood for the first time in the 11-plus years we've lived here. Yes, it felt weird, and I felt very alone.

I wasn't afraid of other dogs, and I didn't see any.

She'll be home around 5 p.m. — just in time for it to get dark — and we'll probably walk together then.

I won't be so alone then.

NOTE: Lady passed on Sept. 16, 2016, a day that will remain in infamy for me.
