But Lady's gotten hurt the last two times at the dog park. The last time, a big dog tried to play with her, and she ended up on her butt. The time before, a dog tried to play with her, and she fell on her hip.
Lately, she's had trouble getting in and out of the car; once, she fell flat on her side in the back floorboard of the car. And several times in recent days she's either fallen or nearly fallen in the house.
So I don't think we'll go back to the dog park for awhile. Between her age and the heat (which she doesn't handle well), it's best to stay home.
Last night I tried to walk Lady. Instead of leaving the car port, she went around the car and sniffed it. Then she came back around the car and didn't want to get hooked up on her line (something she normally likes). So I brought her in the house.
I wonder if her sore hip had anything to do with it. Or was there an animal out there she didn't like.
Lady passed last night (Saturday, Sept. 17) a bit after 5 a.m.
