Gone for (at least part of) the day

LADY'S BACK IN THE YARD

It was strange yesterday. I looked for Lady at the water bowl, under "her" table and in the hallway, and she was never there. I wanted to feed her, but there was no point.

She spent much of the day at the groomer's. It was such a relief when she got home in the late afternoon; she was back under the table or drinking from her water bowl when I looked.

Right now, she's outside; gotta go get her.

Note: Lady passed on Sept. 17, 2016.

Woof! Lady barking up the right tree

LADY VOICED HER CONCERN ABOUT DAISY'S BARKING
SOMETHING ALMOST MOMENTOUS happened recently. Daisy barked at Lady, and Lady barked back.

Daisy barked again, and Lady woofed back, much louder and more powerfully this time. Daisy, who was on the other side of a fence, jumped back and hurried away from the fence.

Lady trotted away happily.

Why was that momentous? Lady probably hasn't barked a couple of dozen times in the nearly eight years (come this July) that I've been taking her to the Happy Hounds dog park. Several people have asked if she couldn't bark; in fact, someone asked that today.

Yes, she CAN bark, as Daisy will attest. She just doesn't bark unless she has something to say.

NOTE: Lady passed on Sept. 17, 2016, my worst day until Nov. 8, 2016.
